Key Responsibilities
- Help people address overwhelming emotions and health difficulties associated with complex behavioural and medical needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour and safe daily routines while managing risks and responding effectively when situations become challenging.
- Build each person's independence by supporting the development of everyday living skills.
- Offer assistance according to individual ability with transport, employment, finances, meal preparation, shopping, cleaning, showering and administering medication.
- Undertake daytime, evening, overnight and weekend duties.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Experience handling challenging behaviours is preferred; you need the ability to navigate behaviours that can challenge.
- Be available for flexible shifts, including weekends and wakeover shifts.
- Use computers and tablets proficiently and comfortably in daily work, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Have the physical fitness needed to give physical support.
- Hold a Full NZ driver's license.
