Accurate stock handling underpins this permanent nightshift Storeperson position in Christchurch, New Zealand. The full-time role has a minimum of 40 hours per week and combines forklift operation with hands-on warehouse work, inventory administration and customer service when needed.
From incoming goods to dispatch, you will help keep orders moving safely and within the required timeframes. The work includes container devanning, reach truck operation and manual stock movement, with close attention to the condition and location of inventory. Employer sponsorship may be available for eligible candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload and transport goods safely using forklifts, and unload shipping containers through devanning activities.
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately and prepare them for dispatch within the required deadlines.
- Carry out manual handling and move stock around the warehouse.
- Receive deliveries, inspect incoming inventory and store it appropriately.
- Maintain warehouse administration and accurate inventory documentation.
- Provide professional service to customers when required and undertake MPI Accredited Person duties where applicable.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised and safe, following workplace health and safety procedures throughout each shift.
- Contribute effectively to the nightshift team and its warehouse operations.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Have a minimum one year of forklift operating experience, including forklifts up to 5-tonne capacity and reach trucks.
- A forklift licence or relevant certification is preferred; experience with forklift attachments is advantageous but not essential.
- Be physically fit for manual handling and attentive to detail, with a strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Be reliable, motivated and able to work permanent nightshift hours.
- Communicate and organise work well, whether working independently or with a team.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics operation is highly desirable.
