A precise installation should function correctly and leave a professional finish. As an Accessories Fitter in Sydney, NSW, you will fit premium 4WD and aftermarket products to customer vehicles, including current models. The full-time work ranges from trays and canopies to drawer systems, windows and toolboxes.
You will prepare vehicles, remove and refit components where needed, and check the completed installation. Keyless entry systems and automotive electrical tasks are included within the limits of your experience. Genuine installation experience and a verifiable employment record are needed. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare new and used vehicles for accurate fitting of premium 4WD and aftermarket accessories.
- Install trays, canopies, drawer systems, windows and toolboxes, removing and refitting vehicle components where necessary.
- Fit keyless entry and other accessory systems, carrying out automotive electrical work within your experience.
- Inspect fitment, operation and finish, then resolve basic installation problems.
- Operate workshop tools and equipment safely under established procedures.
- Keep the fitting bay organised, clean and safe while collaborating with technicians to meet installation standards.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrate previous work as a 4WD Fitter, Vehicle Accessory Fitter or Automotive Installer.
- Show hands-on 4x4 and aftermarket accessory experience, supported by genuine employment and practical work evidence.
- Understand vehicle components and installation methods thoroughly, with strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Automotive electrical or OBD knowledge is an advantage.
- A valid Australian driver's licence is required.
- A Forklift licence is required, with training support potentially available.
- Be capable of safe, independent work in a professional workshop.
- Relevant automotive qualifications or trade experience are preferred.
