Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose electrical and electronic faults on heavy mobile equipment and carry out effective repairs that reduce downtime.
- Complete scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance, including maintenance and repair of automotive air conditioning.
- Inspect machine performance and recommend appropriate technical action.
- Apply Australian workplace safety standards to every maintenance activity and keep service and repair records accurate.
- Provide dependable, professional support in the field.
- Coordinate with colleagues to improve service quality and the efficiency of operations.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Be a qualified Auto Electrician with recognised trade certification and practical experience involving heavy vehicles, mining equipment or mobile plant.
- Bring strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic experience, with the ability to interpret wiring diagrams and technical information.
- Experience maintaining or repairing air conditioning systems is preferred.
- Hold a current driver's licence and be able to satisfy the required site medical and workplace requirements.
- Communicate well in English for safety at work and accurate reporting.
- Work effectively both independently and with colleagues, maintaining safe practices and high-quality workmanship.
