Client consultation, technical precision and creative styling are at the centre of this full-time Barber / Hairdresser opening in Tauranga, New Zealand. A growing unisex salon team is seeking experienced practitioners to deliver hair care, colour services and men's grooming, with close attention to client satisfaction.
The scope extends from cutting and beard shaping to chemical treatments, styling and aftercare advice. Maintaining clean equipment and safe working practices is part of every service, alongside appointments and payments when required. The salon is an accredited employer, with visa sponsorship support available if required for a suitable candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Discuss clients' preferred cuts, colours and styles, including beard shaping and men's grooming needs.
- Use scissors, clippers, razors and other professional tools to cut, trim, taper, shape and style hair.
- Provide beard and moustache trims, wet shaves and hot towel treatments.
- Shampoo and condition hair, treat the hair and scalp, and advise on suitable products and ongoing hairstyle maintenance.
- Apply and remove colour, tints, highlights, bleach and chemical treatments for straightening, relaxing and perming.
- Create finished styles with blow dryers, straighteners, curling irons and styling products.
- Maintain, clean and sanitise tools, equipment and workspaces to meet salon hygiene and health and safety standards.
- Organise appointments and schedules and process client payments as required.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Have a minimum of two (2) years' full-time experience working as a Hairdresser or Barber, with proven technical skills in haircutting, colouring, styling and men's grooming.
- Bring excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a strong focus on customer service.
- Work efficiently and cooperatively with colleagues.
- Understand salon hygiene and safety practices thoroughly.
