A full-time Barber opening in Hamilton, New Zealand, combines precise cutting and beard work with responsibility for managing your own working day. You will work alongside the owner of a barbershop serving a growing customer base, within a multicultural team and with minimal supervision.
The position provides an assured 35 to 40 hours each week. Between customers, the work includes cleaning equipment and the shop, giving advice on cuts and products, and opening or closing when needed. The shop is an accredited employer under the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) scheme, with visa sponsorship support available if required for a suitable candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Produce neat haircuts and trims efficiently, recommending suitable styles and advising customers on hair products.
- Shave and trim facial hair, including beards and moustaches.
- Clean tools, your workstation and the shop between cuts.
- Handle shop opening and closing whenever required.
- Manage your work with minimal supervision while contributing to a multicultural team.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Have at least 1 year of barbershop experience and a demonstrated ability to deliver a quality zero fade and beard trim every time.
- Bring experience using blades to shave beards, together with skill in hair styling and settings.
- Maintain a professional manner and a well-presented appearance.
- Communicate well with others.
