Key Responsibilities
- Oversee servicing and repairs of every item of farm equipment
- Test and inspect machines to locate worn or damaged components
- Order spare parts and establish the causes of breakdowns
- Travel to field breakdowns and complete repairs on site during peak periods
- Keep the workshop in order and maintain the spare parts stock
- Coordinate with machine operators and managers, and mentor junior staff where needed
- Keep records of servicing and operations
Requirements & Eligibility
- Diesel Mechanic qualification or substantial related experience
- Capable of working independently and of resolving problems under pressure
- Familiarity with agricultural or heavy machinery, which is preferred
- Diligence and reliability during peak seasons
- Clear communication
- Sound organisation
