Two Heavy Diesel Truck Mechanic positions are available with an Auckland fleet servicing company that is owned by a family. Its modern workshop gives priority to safety, and the work is practical, spread across trucks and trailers, buses and lighter commercial vehicles.
Working time is a minimum of 40 hours per week, including a half-day on Saturday under a roster.
The employer is an Accredited Employer and helps with visa transfers; sponsorship therefore forms part of its hiring approach.

Key Responsibilities
- Planned servicing for heavy and commercial vehicles
- Brake repairs
- Steering repairs
- Overhauling and rebuilding modern diesel engines
- Repairing transmissions and drivetrains
- Preparing vehicles for COF and VCA
- Fault diagnosis and other general mechanical tasks
- Keeping the workplace clean and safe
Requirements & Eligibility
- Diesel Technician qualification (Level 4 or equivalent), or a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the automotive or heavy vehicle industry
- Minimum Class 2 clean driver’s licence (with willingness to progress to Class 4/5)
- Ability to work independently and in a team, and a strong commitment to safety
- Own well-equipped toolbox
- Good written and verbal communication skills, and willingness to work a rostered half-day Saturday
