Skilled equipment operators are wanted by an earthworks team in Queenstown. The employer is a civil and earthworks contractor with 25 years of experience and awards to its name.
The duties comprise excavation, filling, carting and compaction, together with the readying of sites for retaining walls and for residential and commercial building work. The role is permanent with consistent hours, a minimum of 30 per week and typically 50. Applicants from outside the area are expected to move there before they apply.
The employer holds Immigration NZ accreditation and can sponsor work visas. The vacancy is limited to applicants already living in New Zealand who are citizens, residents or holders of a current open work visa.

Key Responsibilities
- Safe, efficient operation of bulldozers, dump trucks, compactors and water carts, and excavation, filling, carting and compaction of earth, rock and other materials
- Preparation and shaping of construction sites
Requirements & Eligibility
- 2 years’ experience in civil construction or something similar
- WTR endorsement and a full Class 2 licence
- A flexible attitude and strong work ethic, with a safety-first mindset
- Be a NZ citizen or resident, or hold a current open NZ work visa
- Beneficial: Class 4 licence, knowledge of compaction, experience driving trucks or other machinery, NDM testing certification
