Safe clinical decisions and clear communication matter throughout this Emergency Department Registered Nurse role in Canberra. You will deliver patient-centred care in a busy department, taking part in assessment, care planning, treatment and evaluation alongside a multidisciplinary team.
The position also involves supporting patients and families as treatment progresses. It suits an experienced nurse who can work independently while coordinating effectively with other clinicians. The rotating roster covers evenings, nights and weekends. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess emergency patients and plan, implement and evaluate nursing care that is safe, effective and patient-centred.
- Provide support to patients and their families throughout treatment.
- Coordinate care with the multidisciplinary emergency team.
- Cover rotating shifts, including evenings, nights and weekends.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, or eligibility for registration.
- At least 2 years of post-graduate nursing experience, plus a postgraduate qualification in emergency nursing or equivalent.
- Ability to deliver high-quality nursing care in accordance with professional competency standards.
- Strong communication, critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and contribute within a multidisciplinary team.
