Planning the day's work and maintaining the garden are equally important in this Sydney, NSW role. As Garden Maintenance Team Leader, you will combine practical horticulture with crew supervision across residential and commercial properties, keeping workmanship and client service consistent.
Alongside pruning, planting and plant health work, you will guide junior colleagues and apprentices, organise tasks and recommend improvements to outdoor spaces. The position calls for someone who can manage their own work while helping the team deliver to schedule. Sponsorship opportunities are available to eligible candidates meeting the required experience and qualification criteria.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain residential and commercial gardens, carrying out pruning, hedging, weeding, planting and plant health work.
- Inspect the quality of finished work and suggest practical maintenance solutions and garden improvements.
- Direct and support the crew's daily work, sharing horticultural knowledge with apprentices and junior colleagues.
- Schedule assigned tasks and complete them within the required timeframes.
- Use gardening tools and machinery safely, keeping equipment properly maintained.
- Coordinate with colleagues to sustain service standards and maintain professional, positive relationships with clients.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Show established experience in horticulture, landscaping or garden maintenance, supported by a relevant horticulture qualification or strong industry experience.
- Manage garden maintenance independently and confidently; bring experience contributing to a team and supporting colleagues in a leadership capacity.
- Communicate clearly and maintain a professional approach.
- Be reliable, honest and committed, with excellent attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.
- Organise tasks and manage your time well.
- Be comfortable operating hand tools, machinery and other industry equipment, and hold a current manual driver’s licence.
