Diagnosing equipment faults at a client site requires practical judgement as well as strong mechanical skills. This full-time Heavy Diesel Mechanic vacancy in Perth focuses on field service, taking you through breakdown repairs, planned maintenance and shutdown support for heavy equipment.
You will organise daily tasks around service deadlines, keep accurate maintenance records and communicate with clients and site teams. Safe working and consistent workmanship underpin the role. Employer sponsorship may be considered for international candidates who meet eligibility requirements.

Key Responsibilities
- Attend heavy equipment breakdowns, trace mechanical faults and complete field repairs promptly.
- Undertake preventative and scheduled servicing, assisting with shutdown work and equipment movements.
- Apply sound workmanship when maintaining and repairing major OEM heavy equipment.
- Schedule daily tasks to achieve deadlines and produce accurate service reports and maintenance documentation.
- Communicate clearly with clients, site representatives and colleagues while following site and workplace safety procedures and supporting a professional team culture.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Hold a recognised Heavy Diesel trade qualification or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- Relevant work as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic, including heavy mobile equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Strong fault diagnosis and problem-solving capability; experience on major OEM equipment is highly regarded.
- Possess a valid driver's licence meeting the position's requirements; a High Risk Work Licence for LF and/or WP is advantageous.
- Ability to perform effectively in field service, backed by strong knowledge of safe working practices.
- Capacity to complete the required pre-employment assessments.
- Communicate well in writing and verbally.
