A Brisbane-based Australian organisation active in electrical engineering and manufacturing, and regarded as a leader in its field, is seeking an experienced HV/MV Electrical Engineer to strengthen its expanding engineering team.
Its scope runs from design and assembly to testing and commissioning across the low, medium and high voltage range. Deliverables include protection and control panels, power distribution systems, transportable substations and switchrooms, together with switchboards and motor control centres, supplied to renewable energy, utilities, mining, infrastructure and industrial clients.
The engineer appointed will handle HV and MV systems, assist power distribution and protection and control projects, and liaise with manufacturing, testing and quality colleagues. Holders of a subclass 482 visa are welcome to apply, and 482 sponsorship is available for the right Electrical Engineer candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Undertake engineering on HV and MV systems, including switchgear, switchrooms, switchboards and transportable substations
- Provide support to projects in power distribution and in protection and control
- Interpret drawings, specifications and technical documents, in liaison with the engineering, manufacturing, testing, quality and project teams
Requirements & Eligibility
- Australian registration as an Electrical Engineer
- A minimum of 2 years' relevant industry experience
- Prior involvement with HV and/or MV electrical systems
- Highly regarded: experience in switchgear, substations, switchboards, power distribution or protection and control systems
- Competence in reading electrical drawings, specifications and technical documents, supported by strong technical and problem-solving capabilities
- Understanding of the applicable Australian Standards and the ability to work productively with engineering, manufacturing, project and testing teams
