A private mental health hospital in Melbourne seeks Registered Nurses with mental health experience for ongoing full-time positions within its inpatient unit. The positions involve caring for patients who are acutely unwell with complex needs, in a team that brings together several clinical disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out comprehensive mental health assessments
- Deliver nursing care shaped around the individual
- Care for people living with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety and related conditions
- Carry out risk assessments
- Conduct mental state examinations
- Watch over patients through monitoring and administer medication
- Watch how treatment is working and step in with crisis intervention when needed
- Plan recovery alongside patients
- Build therapeutic engagement with patients and partner with psychiatrists, psychologists and allied health staff, as well as other nurses
- Write accurate clinical notes and work on discharge planning
Requirements & Eligibility
- Registered Nurse (qualified) who brings inpatient mental health or psychiatric nursing experience
- Registered with AHPRA already, or eligible to obtain Australian nursing registration
- Strong clinical assessment and risk management skills
- Communication skills that are strong
- Experience across acute mental health, adult psychiatry or specialist inpatient services
- Commitment to recovery-focused, trauma-informed and person-centred care
- Looking for employer sponsorship under the Subclass 482 visa
