Turning structural drawings into coordinated site work is the focus of this full-time Project Engineer position in Sydney. The role supports major building and high-rise projects, with particular attention to formwork, concrete structures and the sequence of construction activities.
You will connect subcontractors, suppliers and technical specialists, monitor progress and help senior project staff resolve practical construction issues. Contract administration, quality checks and clear project records form part of the work. Relevant overseas construction experience is welcomed.

Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate engineering and construction activity each day on major building projects, maintaining communication between site teams and project stakeholders.
- Plan formwork and concrete structure activities and monitor their delivery with subcontractors, suppliers and construction personnel.
- Review specifications, drawings and engineering documents, coordinating technical questions among consultants, engineers and subcontractors.
- Assist with construction planning, programming and work sequencing, measuring progress against milestones and schedules.
- Support contract administration and senior project staff through accurate records, documentation and progress reporting.
- Identify site problems early, contribute practical technical solutions and check completed work against project quality requirements.
- Help deliver construction safely, efficiently and within the required timeframe.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Hold a degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or Construction Management, with 2–5+ years of relevant post-graduate construction experience.
- Demonstrated formwork and concrete structures experience, gained on high-rise, commercial or large-scale building projects.
- Previous employment with a construction subcontractor.
- Practical knowledge of construction programming and the sequencing of work.
- Contract administration experience and strong ability to coordinate and manage subcontractors.
- Sound technical skills supported by effective communication and organisation.
- Ability to demonstrate and verify qualifications and professional experience; relevant overseas construction experience is welcomed.
- Ability to satisfy Australian employment and sponsorship requirements.
