Attentive table service and a lively approach to guests shape this Christchurch restaurant role. A Mexican-themed venue is recruiting four experienced waitstaff to recognise diners' needs, explain its menu and serve food and drinks through its selling system.
Full-time work involves at least 30 hours a week, including nights, weekends and the busy summer months. Regular in-house food, beverage and service modules form part of the work. The restaurant is accredited for employer sponsorship and can assist with the immigration process if required. Service also includes handling payments and applying New Zealand liquor laws.

Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests, explain menu choices and offerings, and promote the restaurant's products and services.
- Record orders through the POS and take food and drinks to tables.
- Clear and reset tables while keeping the restaurant clean.
- Handle cash and electronic payments.
- Apply New Zealand liquor laws and assist management with licensing compliance while completing regular in-house training modules.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Have at least six months of experience in a similar role, or a Level 2 or 3 Diploma qualification.
- Know New Zealand liquor laws well.
- Be available for night and weekend work.
- Be available during the busy summer months.
- Be motivated to work hard at a fast pace and learn the restaurant's offerings and service standards.
