Fresh, modern pub food is central to this casual Assistant Chef opening in Sydney, NSW. Incoming owners plan to develop the pub into a neighbourhood hub and sports venue, with hotel renovations, added entertainment and daily lunch and dinner across several areas.
Shifts cover Monday and Tuesday lunch and dinner, plus Saturday and Sunday lunch or dinner, with more hours as the venue grows. There is a strong preference for candidates ready to start immediately. The venue may be able to offer sponsorship opportunities to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve fresh, modern pub dishes with consistent food quality, presentation and service standards.
- Assist the Head Chef with the kitchen's daily operations.
- Observe food safety and hygiene requirements and maintain compliance standards.
- Contribute to a positive, supportive working environment within the kitchen team.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Commercial kitchen experience and confidence handling a busy service.
- Reliability, punctuality and a great attitude.
- Ability to work independently while taking direction from the Head Chef.
- Pride in consistently producing quality food, with enjoyment of modern pub cooking and fresh produce.
- Ability to work well under pressure and with colleagues.
- Flexibility to cover lunch, dinner and weekend services.
- Positive energy and a strong team attitude.
