This A La Carte Cook / Chef position in Port Hedland, WA combines daily meal preparation with the practical work of keeping a busy kitchen organised. A growing tourist park is seeking an experienced, reliable and hardworking cook or chef who takes pride in consistent food quality.
The full-time schedule covers 5 or 6 days per week, as agreed. This is a residential role rather than FIFO, requiring willingness to live and work locally. The successful applicant must complete a pre-employment medical including a drug and alcohol test. Sponsorship opportunities may be available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals, maintaining consistent portions and presentation.
- Meet food safety, hygiene and cleaning requirements while keeping the kitchen safe and organised.
- Help control stock, place orders and rotate supplies.
- Reduce food waste and support efficient kitchen operations.
- Contribute effectively to the busy team, assisting with preparation and service as required.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Have previous cook or chef experience and a good understanding of kitchen operations and food safety.
- Be capable of producing consistently high-quality meals.
- Work reliably under pressure, communicate well and contribute effectively to the team.
- Show a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and willingness to live and work locally.
- Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery is preferred; relevant experience may be considered instead of formal qualifications.
- A Food Safety Certificate is preferred.
- Complete a pre-employment medical that includes a drug and alcohol test.
