From accurately fitted architraves to finished decking, this Carpenter role centres on practical commercial construction skills. Based in Sydney, the full-time position covers ongoing projects across New South Wales and involves travelling between sites as work requires.
You will interpret plans, prepare and install materials, and complete interior fit-outs, doors, flooring and general finishing work. Safe tool use and consistent workmanship matter across the different assignments. Key Responsibilities
- Undertake commercial carpentry on ongoing construction projects, including general finishing assignments.
- Install interior skirting and architraves, commercial doors and their associated fittings.
- Lay flooring and decking to the requirements of each project.
- Interpret plans, specifications and dimensions to measure, cut, assemble and install timber and related materials accurately.
- Use tools safely and effectively, maintaining neat, consistent workmanship.
- Comply with site safety and workplace requirements while cooperating with other trades and site colleagues.
- Travel between New South Wales project locations as required.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Bring at least 3 years of practical, on-the-tools carpentry experience and a background in commercial carpentry or relevant construction work.
- Demonstrate your practical carpentry ability and provide a genuine, verifiable employment or trade history.
- Have your own general carpentry tools and reliable personal transport, with willingness to travel between sites.
- Hold a current White Card.
- Knowledge of Australian construction methods and industry standards is desirable.
- You must hold Australian work rights or be able to satisfy sponsorship requirements.
