Commercial interior installation is the focus of this long-term, full-time Ceiling Fixer / Gypsum Board Installer vacancy in Perth, WA. Work ranges from ceiling grids and framing to partitions, board fixing and specialist features, with an hourly range of $35 - $55.
The recruiter seeks experienced tradespeople who can interpret drawings, set out accurately and complete installations independently. Key Responsibilities
- Fit suspended T-bar / grid and plasterboard ceilings, including acoustic ceiling systems.
- Assemble ceiling framing, suspension systems and furring channels, together with steel stud walls and partitions.
- Install plasterboard / gypsum board for acoustic and fire-rated systems.
- Construct bulkheads and specialist interior details using plans, measurements and independent setting out.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Bring strong commercial experience with interior systems, plasterboard, partitions and ceilings.
- Read and interpret plans, take measurements and set out installations independently.
- Experience gained in New Zealand on hospitals, schools, apartments, offices, high-rise or major commercial projects is of particular interest.
- Have strong spoken English and a good employment history, and be able to explain clearly at interview which work you personally completed.
