Consistent cooking through a busy service is the priority in this full-time Chef role in Perth, Western Australia. The kitchen needs proven commercial experience, with work spanning ingredient preparation, cooking, food storage and stock rotation. The rate is $35 - $50 per hour.
You will manage concurrent cooking tasks and respond professionally when service requirements change, keeping quality and hygiene standards steady. This position is for applicants already living in Australia, with current residence in Perth, Western Australia essential; visa holders based in Perth are welcome. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and complete the daily preparation needed for kitchen service.
- Cook to established recipes and standards while maintaining consistent food quality and presentation.
- Manage simultaneous cooking tasks efficiently during peak service in a high-volume kitchen.
- Store food appropriately, rotate stock and monitor ingredient consumption to limit waste.
- Keep the kitchen organised and clean throughout operations, following food hygiene and safety procedures.
- Communicate and cooperate with kitchen colleagues and service staff.
- Adapt calmly and professionally to changing service requirements.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Relevant employment as a Cook or Chef, with demonstrated commercial kitchen experience; high-volume kitchen experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently through busy services, with strong attention to detail and consistency.
- A positive attitude, dependable work ethic and good communication and teamwork skills.
- A professional approach to preparing food and serving customers, with the ability to meet workplace and food safety requirements.
- Current residence in Perth, Western Australia is essential; visa holders already residing in Perth are welcome to apply.
- Ability to provide authentic, verifiable work experience and a commitment to completing the required qualifying period.
