Creative cooking and the practical demands of a busy hotel kitchen meet in this full-time Chef role in Sale, VIC. A country hotel needs an experienced Chef/Cook to prepare high-quality meals and work with the Head Chef on new menu ideas and improvements to existing dishes. The annual salary is $75,000 - $85,000.
You will contribute to guests' dining experiences through efficient preparation, consistent cooking and prompt responses to requests. Stock management, ordering and a clean, hygienic kitchen are also part of the work. Sponsorship is available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare creative, high-quality meals efficiently during fast-paced kitchen services.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to introduce menu items and improve existing dishes.
- Keep preparation and cooking to a high standard and maintain a clean, organised, hygienic kitchen.
- Deliver excellent customer service, responding promptly to guest requests.
- Help manage inventory and order kitchen supplies.
- Comply with all food safety and workplace health and safety regulations.
Requirements & Eligibility
- At least 2 years of Chef/Cook experience in a similar hospitality setting, with formal culinary training or qualifications such as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
- Excellent knowledge of preparation, cooking techniques and food safety practices.
- Strong time management and multitasking skills suited to a busy kitchen.
- Able to contribute positively to the workplace culture as part of a team.
- A passion for producing high-quality meals and improving guests' dining experiences.
