This Electrician position in Sydney, NSW, combines electrical installation and repairs with security system work. Operating locally across homes and commercial premises, the Electrical and Security Technician will cover CCTV, alarms, intercoms and access control within a consistent 40-hour week.
You will assess each assignment, organise your work with minimal supervision and keep customers informed. Accurate installation, electrical safety and professional conduct are central to delivery. Overseas-qualified electricians meeting Australian licensing eligibility are encouraged to apply; sponsorship is available for eligible overseas candidates.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial properties.
- Install and maintain CCTV and security surveillance equipment, intercoms and access control systems, and install and service alarms.
- Assess requirements at customer sites and complete allocated work accurately, efficiently and to professional standards with minimal supervision.
- Keep clients informed about requirements and progress, building positive relationships through clear communication, professional presentation and conduct.
- Comply with electrical safety requirements and workplace procedures, maintaining safe and organised tools, equipment and work areas.
- Represent the business professionally in clients' homes and commercial premises while taking responsibility for assigned jobs.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Hold an Australian electrical licence or an overseas electrical qualification eligible for Australian licensing.
- Minimum 3 years of practical electrical experience, including demonstrated residential and commercial work.
- Confidence with electrical systems and installations; experience with CCTV, alarms, intercoms or access control is advantageous.
- Have your own electrical hand tools and an Australian driver's licence.
- Hold a White Card; Working at Heights and EWP tickets are advantageous.
- Strong customer service and communication, with professional appearance and conduct when dealing with clients.
- Reliability, self-motivation and the ability to work independently, supported by verifiable qualifications and employment experience.
