Accurate formwork underpins this full-time Formwork Carpenter position in Perth, Western Australia. Working on commercial high-rise construction, you will follow drawings through to the assembly, installation and removal of formwork for concrete structures. Different systems require sound practical judgement as well as precise measurement.
The work combines hands-on construction with regular checks on safety and quality, coordination with other trades and delivery against project schedules. Candidates with suitably verified skills and substantial experience may be eligible for visa sponsorship. Your trade background must be supported by evidence.

Key Responsibilities
- Interpret construction plans, drawings and specifications to prepare accurate formwork assemblies.
- Measure and position components using techniques appropriate to each system, then build, install and strip concrete formwork on commercial high-rise projects.
- Inspect work throughout the task for dimensional accuracy, workmanship and safe execution.
- Coordinate site activity with engineers, supervisors and fellow trades while maintaining productivity and quality to the project timetable.
- Apply site procedures and workplace health and safety requirements, keeping the work area tidy, safe and compliant.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrate a work history as a Formwork Carpenter with substantial experience on commercial high-rise construction.
- Understand different formwork systems in practice and be able to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Have a strong grasp of safe construction methods and a proven record of accurate, quality work.
- Hold a valid Australian Construction White Card and provide evidence of your trade skills and employment experience.
- Work efficiently within a professional construction team, attending reliably and taking responsibility for site duties and project requirements.
