Client consultations guide the work in this Cairns salon, where an experienced Hairdresser will turn individual preferences into well-executed cuts, styles and colour. The role calls for established practical ability and the confidence to deliver consistent results independently, alongside other experienced stylists.
Flexible hours at the outset can develop from part-time into full-time work. Eligible candidates may be considered for employer sponsorship. Maintaining a professional salon environment, building repeat client relationships and taking part in ongoing training are all part of the position.

Key Responsibilities
- Consult clients about their preferred look, assess hair condition before each service and recommend suitable cuts and colour.
- Deliver cutting, styling and modern colouring services with careful attention to detail and consistently high standards.
- Sustain client satisfaction and develop lasting professional relationships.
- Present yourself professionally and maintain the salon’s expected standards of conduct.
- Collaborate with experienced stylists, attend salon training and stay informed about changing techniques and trends.
- Leave the salon clean, orderly and welcoming throughout the working day.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Be a qualified hairdresser with a minimum of 3 years in professional practice.
- Provide employment evidence of practical salon work and a steady record of employment.
- Bring strong cutting, styling and modern colouring skills, together with confidence leading client consultations.
- Hold a relevant hairdressing qualification or recognised industry training; remain committed to ongoing training and professional development.
- Combine good communication and customer service with a reliable, approachable manner and commitment to quality work.
- Be able to commit for at least 5 months or longer, with flexible availability and the potential to change from part-time to full-time work.
