This Townsville cabinetry and joinery business is seeking two trade-qualified Cabinetmakers for Leading Hand positions. You will continue building and assembling products while directing the daily work of a small production team, helping cabinetmakers and apprentices meet quality expectations and production deadlines.
The role needs clearly demonstrable trade capability and the ability to organise workshop activity. Reading drawings, checking workmanship and providing technical guidance are part of the same hands-on responsibility. Eligible overseas candidates may be considered for visa sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities
- Guide cabinetmakers and apprentices, organising daily workflow and coordinating workshop production.
- Manufacture and assemble cabinetry and joinery, operate machinery and equipment, and check measurements, workmanship and finished products.
- Interpret drawings, plans and specifications and explain technical work to team members.
- Monitor productivity and production quality, helping resolve workshop problems and meet deadlines and quality targets.
- Assist with installation work when needed.
- Maintain safe working conditions and an organised workshop.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Be a trade-qualified Cabinetmaker holding Certificate III or equivalent, with strong professional cabinetmaking and joinery experience and demonstrated hands-on technical capability.
- Previous Leading Hand or supervisory experience is preferred.
- Be able to lead and support a small team, with a strong understanding of workshop production.
- Interpret technical drawings and plans, using good communication and organisational skills.
- Apply strong attention to detail and quality standards with a reliable, safety-conscious approach.
- Relevant experience must be supported by appropriate qualifications and employment history.
