Fabrication and equipment repair share the workload in this full-time Metal Fabricator position in Kalgoorlie, WA. The industrial engineering and maintenance role calls for Boilermaker/Welder experience across workshop tasks and field work.
You will turn drawings into fabricated components, weld and assemble structures, and help maintain fixed and mobile plant. Site breakdowns also require corrective repairs, with quality checks and safe working methods applied throughout. Sponsorship is available for suitable overseas applicants.

Key Responsibilities
- Interpret engineering drawings, plans and specifications, then measure and set out fabrication work.
- Cut, bend and form structural and mechanical materials, fabricating and assembling components and structures through welding and related processes.
- Repair and modify plant and equipment, support fixed and mobile plant maintenance and complete corrective repairs at breakdowns.
- Carry out fabrication in both the workshop and on site.
- Inspect completed components for accuracy and quality, ensuring they meet specifications.
- Operate workshop machinery and fabrication equipment and perform routine machinery maintenance.
- Maintain an organised work area and comply with safe working procedures and site requirements.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Hold Australian Recognised Trade Certificate III or equivalent qualification.
- Have a minimum 3 years full-time experience in Metal Fabrication, with proven Boilermaker/Welder experience and strong fabrication and welding skills.
- Read engineering drawings competently.
- Successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment and drug and alcohol screening.
- Hold a Construction White Card and Working at Heights certification obtained within the past 2 years.
- Hold Confined Space certification obtained within the past 2 years and a valid Australian Driver Licence.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to quality and safety, with good teamwork and communication skills.
- Have Australian citizenship, permanent residency or relevant work rights.
