Key Responsibilities
- Install commercial roofing systems, including metal roofing, cladding, wall cladding, flashings and related components.
- Interpret drawings, plans and specifications to measure, cut and position materials accurately.
- Perform roofing tasks at height and use hand tools, power tools and roofing equipment safely.
- Coordinate installation work with supervisors and other trades on active sites.
- Maintain workmanship standards and alert supervisors to installation or quality issues.
- Prepare and move materials, follow site and safety procedures, keep work areas orderly and clean, and assist with general roofing and cladding tasks.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrate professional roofing experience and work on commercial or industrial construction projects.
- Metal roofing experience is preferred; practical knowledge of roofing and cladding installation methods is required.
- Be comfortable working safely at heights and capable of interpreting and following construction plans and specifications.
- Have good workplace health and safety knowledge and competence with standard roofing tools and equipment.
- Be reliable, punctual and committed, with the communication and cooperation needed for site teamwork.
- A relevant roofing trade qualification is highly regarded; a current driver’s licence is preferred.
- Provide photographs, portfolio examples or other evidence of past roofing work, together with employment or trade history substantiating your experience.
