You will respond to alarms and incidents, apply site procedures and keep accurate records without compromising confidential information. The work calls for calm judgement when deciding how to respond or escalate a concern. Key Responsibilities
- Check access permissions and restrict facility entry to authorised people, consistently applying security procedures and site protocols.
- Patrol the premises, observe activity and respond to suspicious behaviour.
- Respond to alarms, emergencies and incidents with sound judgement, escalating concerns as necessary.
- Maintain an approachable, professional presence and communicate effectively with personnel, visitors and contractors.
- Produce accurate incident reports and logs, protect confidential information and help maintain a respectful, secure workplace.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Australian Citizenship may be required to establish eligibility for security clearance.
- A current QLD Security Licence is required; existing security clearance is advantageous.
- Willingness and eligibility to undertake the required security clearance process, with the ability to meet identity, credential and background verification requirements.
- High personal standards of honesty, integrity and accountability, supported by strong communication skills.
- Close attention to detail and strong situational awareness, with calm, professional conduct under pressure.
- Ability to comply with strict operational and security procedures.
- Experience in security or a similarly sensitive operational setting is desirable.
