Safe, reliable underground electrical systems are the purpose of this permanent Underground Electrician position with a Western Australian mining operation. Listed in Perth, WA, the role combines preventative maintenance with fault diagnosis and repairs when equipment breaks down.
You will inspect and test electrical systems, follow isolation procedures and coordinate with trades and operations staff to support underground production. Accurate maintenance records and improvements to equipment reliability form part of the work. Eligible overseas applicants requiring visa sponsorship are welcome to apply.

Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair underground electrical equipment and systems, including scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Respond to breakdowns and operational problems, diagnose electrical faults and carry out effective repairs.
- Inspect and test electrical installations and equipment to maintain safe, reliable operation.
- Support underground production and maintenance while following site electrical procedures, isolation processes and safety requirements.
- Keep maintenance records accurate and documentation current.
- Coordinate with other trades and operations personnel to improve equipment reliability.
Requirements & Eligibility
- Hold an electrical trade qualification recognised in Australia and a current A Grade Western Australian Electrical Licence.
- Have at least 3 years’ experience in the electrical industry.
- Mining experience is desirable; underground mining experience is advantageous.
- Hold a current C Class Manual Driver's Licence.
- An HV Switching ticket is desirable; Working at Heights certification is desirable; a High Risk Work Licence is desirable.
- Bring strong safety awareness and a professional work ethic.
- Be able to work 12-hour shifts on a 7/7 or 2/2 roster.
