Financial Accountant

Onshore applicants only

Visa sponsorship

Accounting & Finance · Melbourne, VIC, Australia · Contract · $90,000 - $120,000/yr · Visa: Employer sponsored · Applicants: Onshore applicants only

An established digital marketplace organisation in Melbourne, expanding rapidly within Australia's digital platform and technology industry, has an opening for a Financial Accountant. The appointment is temporary-to-permanent: it provides immediate operational stability and is structured with a defined pathway to permanent full-time employment.

The Financial Accountant reports directly to the Financial Controller and aligns with the CFO on operational matters. Responsibility sits squarely on month-end discipline, the integrity of the balance sheet and statutory compliance for a group of entities. Transactional processing is carried out by an assistant accountant; the Financial Accountant reviews the core ledgers and contributes to baseline cash and budgeting routines. Foundational accounting and clean reporting take priority over complex commercial modelling, and the environment is lean, transparent and non-bureaucratic, with direct access to senior leadership.

Full visa sponsorship is available for eligible Working Holiday visa holders already in Australia who have proven accounting capability.
