A bakery in Perth is recruiting a qualified baker for a permanent, full-time position. The post is centred on production: preparing doughs, managing the ovens and presenting fresh bread, rolls, buns and savoury products to local customers.

Key Responsibilities
- Take each dough through mixing, kneading, dividing and moulding, in line with the recipe and schedule
- Check proofing conditions, oven settings and baking durations
- Produce loaves, rolls, buns and savoury items of consistently high quality, well presented
- Contribute to the training and development of apprentices and bakery assistants
- Keep the premises clean and safe through compliance with food safety and workplace safety procedures
- Assist with stock control and ingredient ordering while minimising waste, and work with the bakery manager and team to meet daily production, including friendly customer service when required
Requirements & Eligibility
- A recognised qualification from the baking trade
- Not less than two years of relevant commercial baking experience
- Solid hands-on ability in bread and yeast-based bakery production
- Dedication to product quality, food safety and cleanliness
- Good interpersonal communication, cooperative working and efficiency in a busy production environment
- Ability to start early in the morning and to work on weekends and public holidays as rostered
